Speciality Issues

Recovery & Addiction Treatment in Texas

Addiction counseling is an approach to challenge the physical, emotional, and mental struggles of the disease in order to live a full life in recovery. I utilize an eclectic approach for addiction counseling involving motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT, and 12 – steps to help the individuals modify behaviors for recovery, how to cope with addictive thinking and behaviors, and develop intimate connection in relationships while in sobriety.

Trauma-Focused Therapy

Trauma-Focused Therapy is an approach that recognizes and emphasizes understanding how the traumatic experience impacts your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I work with all forms of trauma including adverse childhood experiences, domestic/partner violence, sexual assault, neglect, and more. I have extensive experience making space for your past to arrest it and break free from the past as you grow to live in your authentic present self to the fullest. I specialize in ETT (Emotional Transformational Therapy) that is a therapy incorporating light, color wavelengths, and eye movements to transform and alleviate PTSD symptoms.

Couples & Marriages

All hope is not lost, no matter where you stand or what season your relationship may be in. I work with couples specifically that struggle with addiction or adjusting to sobriety and other various marital issues. I specialize in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) which is a highly effective treatment modality used to provide healing and revelation to any relationship issues and struggles.

Technique Specialization

Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy

(PACT)

PACT is a type of couples therapy that quickly gets to the heart of what’s happening with conflict and tension in your relationship. PACT works by cutting out a lot of the confusing talking and arguing about who’s right and how to fix a given problem. During sessions you will be facing each other and work on your attunement as a couple as the therapist works from the outside of the “couple bubble”.

Emotional Transformational Therapy

(ETT)

Many who seek therapy experience mentally or physically unpleasant states and feel “trapped” by their emotions, feelings, memories, or current situation that talk therapy cannot overcome alone. ETT is a therapy incorporating light, color wavelengths, and eye movements. Specifically, the brain is stimulated with lights and colors which as a result reshapes the neural impulses affecting the brain and the nervous system. Due to this reshaping of neuropathways, ETT is highly effective to treat and alleviate symptoms of PTSD, addiction, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and much more.
